Inter United FC

Inter United FC is a Semiprofessional football club, based in an American King county WA area. The successes of Inter United FC are built through grassroots work in the community, local schools, local soccer organizations, partnerships with business and media, charity work and effective marketing. We are constantly collaborating with local organizations, coaches, players and fans with the goal of working together to advance soccer at all levels within King County and the northwest region.

Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, Shawn has a vast and varied resume, beginning with the SYSA U17 Girls in San Diego in 1991. Shawn has also worked with the Orange Park YMCA boys teams as well as Clay County Soccer club in Florida.  He has also worked with the US Navy and coached teams from the USS Carl Vinson, which won the international Col Usher Armed Forces Soccer tournament in 1998.  Shawn’s experience also includes South County Football Club,Trinity Lutheran College as an assistant, Tyne-castle FC U23 Head Coach, and MRFC U15 & U16 Head Coach.  He holds an NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma and a Level 1 Coaching Certification from the English FA.  

Shawn has also traveled the world through soccer and has coached teams that competed in East Asia and Northern Iraq, where he helped develop a local soccer league as a means of bringing local communities together, and to help combat insurgent infiltrations of local villages.  Shawn began playing soccer in Trinidad & Tobago at the Mucurapo Boys R.C. School and Mucurapo Jr Secondary School and Ross Land United.  His playing success also earned him the privilege of representing Trinidad & Tobago at the U16 level. Read his Resume Bellow.

Coaching Highlights:
  • 1998  -  US Navy Col Usher Armed Forces Soccer tournament, took 1st place in this multi-national tournament competing against teams from Canada, Korea, Australia, Chile and United Kingdom.
  • 1998-1999  -  East Asia Tour, coached exhibition games against 1st division teams from Singapore, Hong Kong, Perth Australia, Fremantle Australia, Tasmania, Abu Dhabi, completing a successful cultural exchange.
  • 2008-2009  -  Key West Iraq developed a local soccer league in Northern Iraq as a means of bringing local communities together, emphasized soccer as a means to combat insurgent infiltrations of local villages.
  • 2011 – (Winter) Built an Amateur men’s team to play in the SPSL, won 1st Division and promoted to Premier Division.
  • 2011  -  (Spring) Took 3rd place in  (SPSL)Premier Division first year up.  Earned a seat in the US Adult Amateur Regional Tournament 2012.
  • 2011 – Entered a new U17 boys team into the Washington state youth soccer RCL div 4 and placed 3rd with only 10 players assigned to team.
  • 2013 -  Took 3rd place overall at the Portland FC winter college showcase, with a 3rd Div. team.    Player Experience:
